Sixth Interdisciplinary Conference of The International Society of the Arts, Mathematics, and Architecture College Station,

Texas, May 18-21,

ISAMA’07 will be held at Texas A&M University, College of Architecture, in College Station, Texas. The purpose of ISAMA’07 is to provide a forum for the dissemination of new mathematical ideas related to the arts and architecture. We welcome teachers, artists, mathematicians, architects, scientists, and engineers, as well as all other interested persons. As in previous conferences, the objective is to share information and discuss common interests. We have seen that new ideas and partnerships emerge which can enrich interdisciplinary research and education.

You are invited to submit a paper for ISAMA’07 in one of the following fields related to mathematics: Architecture, Computer Design and Fabrication in the Arts and Architecture, Geometric Art, Mathematical Visualization, Music, Origami, and Tessellations and Tilings. In particular, we specify the following and related topics that implicitly or explicitly refer to mathematics: Painting, Drawing, Animation, Sculpture, Story Telling, Musical Analysis and Synthesis, Photography, Fiber Arts, Garment Design, Film Making, and Dance. Art forms may relate to topology, dynamical systems, algebra, differential equations, approximation theory, probability, graph theory, discrete math, fractals, chaos, and generative and algorithmic methods.
The content of papers must relate to art and not be only mathematical.
