El 13 de enero de 2016 se anunciará oficialmente el nuevo ganador del Premio Pritzker de Arquitectura
El The Pritzker Architecture Prize de 2016, considerado el «Nobel de la Arquitectura«, se anunciará el próximo 13 de enero en Chicago (EE.UU.) a las 15.00 GMT, informó hoy la organización.
En 2015, el ganador del premio, que recibe 100.000 dólares y una medalla de bronce, fue el arquitecto alemán Frei Otto, cuyo galardón se anunció un día después de su muerte.
El jurado del Pritzker está compuesto por Lord Peter Palumbo (presidente), Stephen Breyer, Yung Ho Chang, Kristin Feireiss, Glenn Murcutt, Richard Rogers, Benedetta Tagliabue y Ratan N. Tata, con Martha Thorne como directora ejecutiva.
El prestigioso premio fue instituido en 1979 por Jay A.Pritzker y su esposa, Cindy, fundadores de la cadena hotelera Hyatt, con sede en Chicago.

LEGO’s NYC Skyline Features Empire State Building, One WTC
LEGO’s architecture series has rendered some of the world’s most recognizable landmarks—the Eiffel Tower, the White House, Trevi Fountain—in miniature form, and now, New York City’s skyline is getting the blocky treatment. According to Gothamist, the toy company unveiled its model of the New York City skyline (which will be available in January), featuring five of the city’s iconic structures: the Empire State, Flatiron and Chrysler Buildings; the Statue of Liberty; and, in a surprise move, One World Trade Center.
