Escalera de Santa Fe – La asombrosa Escalera de Loreto

Capilla de Loreto, conocida universalmente por su escalera en espiral, la cual es un excepcional trabajo de carpintería. No existe documentación alguna sobre su construcción, siendo considerado un milagro por las Hermanas de Loreto y multitud de personas.

La escalera la realizó sin clavos, ni pegamento alguno, solo ensamblando piezas de madera. Es una obra increíble de carpintería, con un punto de equilibrio imposible según varios ingenieros y arquitectos. La madera usada no existe por la zona, y la dificultad técnica de la escalera resulta notable.

¿CÓMO SE SOSTIENE LA ESCALERA DE LA CAPILLA DE LORETO?
Es una de las enigmas de la historia contemporánea. No se sabe como fue construida ni quien hizo esta obra en una iglesia de Nuevo México.

NOVÍSSIMOS NA ARQUITETURA

O Open House Porto (OHP) regressa nos dias 1 e 2 de julho com curadoria de Pedro Baía e Magda Seifert, sob o tema dos “novíssimos na arquitetura”.

Segundo os curadores, “o tema é inspirado no texto de 1959 da autoria de Nuno Portas, intitulado ‘A responsabilidade de uma novíssima geração no movimento moderno em Portugal’, a partir do qual Portas se dirige aos “arquitectos recém-chegados à actividade profissional”, propondo “o interrogar de uma novíssima geração, não só nas suas ideias e intenções, mas sobretudo nas suas obras.”

Copenhague será la Capital Mundial de la Arquitectura en 2023


Copenhague será la Capital Mundial de la arquitectura en el año 2023 después de que la UNESCO lo decidiera. Por ello, la ciudad será sede del Congreso Mundial número 28 de la Unión Internacional de Arquitectos (UIA); un evento que existe desde 1948.

El Congreso Mundial de la UIA es uno de los eventos de mayor relevancia en el ámbito de la arquitectura y el urbanismo. En él se reúnen líderes del sector para dialogar sobre el futuro de las ciudades. Siempre se busca dar soluciones a nivel local y también mundial.

El lema del Congreso número 28 es “Futuros Sostenibles – No dejar a nadie atrás” y, como el nombre lo dice, el foro buscará encontrar soluciones para que la arquitectura y el urbanismo ayuden a alcanzar los 17 Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible de la ONU.

Calpe declara 2023 como Año Bofill por el medio siglo de ‘La Muralla Roja’


La población alicantina de Calpe mantiene la declaración de 2023 como ‘año Ricardo Bofill‘ para celebrar que se cumple medio siglo de la construcción de uno de los hitos del arquitecto barcelonés, la urbanización La Muralla Roja, enclavada junto a uno de los acantilados del municipio.

La Muralla Roja en Calpe (Alicante) España, es un edificio del arquitecto Ricardo Bofill Levi situado en la Urbanización La Manzanera. Su construcción se completó en el año 1973 aunque, según palabras del propio arquitecto, su diseño empezó diez años antes. – Wikipedia

Fue el techo del mundo por décadas. Hoy no reina ni en su propia ciudad, pero el Empire State se mantiene como el más icónico de los rascacielos del planeta.

The Biennale Architettura will open in 2021 and will last 6 months, from May 22nd to November 21st. The Biennale Arte will be held in 2022, from April 23rd to November 27th.

Más de 40 países participarán en la 17 Bienal de Arquitectura de Venecia


Un total de cuarenta y seis países participarán en la XVII Bienal de Arquitectura de Venecia, que se celebrará en los Jardines, el Arsenale -antiguos astilleros venecianos- y el centro histórico de la ciudad del 23 de mayo al 29 de noviembre y que contará con el debut del país caribeño Granada, Irak y Uzbekistán.

BIENNALE ARCHITETTURA 2020: HOW WILL WE LIVE TOGETHER?

Los organizadores presentaron hoy el cartel de este evento, que estará comisariado por el arquitecto libanés Hashim Sarkis y que llevará por título «How will we live together?» («¿Cómo viviremos juntos?»).

Habrá 114 participantes y 46 países, con una mayor representación de África, América Latina y Asia.

Los pabellones nacionales serán 63 y se distribuirán entre los históricos Jardines y el Arsenale, pero también en el centro histórico, que acogerá otros eventos colaterales de organizaciones e instituciones y sin ánimo de lucro.
