We are delighted to announce Lisbon will join as 13th member of the ‘Open House Worldwide Family‘. We view direct experience as the key way of the wider community becomes more engaged, knowledgeable, and ensuring informed judgement is part of the dialogue with the city, its inhabitants and those who are creating it.

Open House Founding Director and Open-City Director
For the first time, Lisbon is hosting the international event Open House in October 2012. Created in London in 1992, it is guided by a straightforward but inspiring principle: to show first-rate architecture to the general public, stirring an interest for urban built heritage.
Organized by the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, Lisboa Open House takes place on October 6 and 7 and throughout that weekend, more than 50 space will be open for visits free of charge.
Lisbon is the thirteenth city to integrate the Open House network, joining a list of world cities with striking architecture, such as London, Dublin, Milan, Tel Aviv, Melbourne, Helsinki, Jerusalem, Barcelona, Rome, New York and Chicago.
